A MENU BUILT FOR EVERY
TABLE IN KNOXVILLE

Good food starts with good intentions. Ours haven’t changed since 1990. Our team starts early every day keeping the tradition of fresh and house-made alive. Soups, salad dressings, and salsa are all made in-house. Your salad starts with whole produce we hand inspect, rinse, chop, shred, slice, and dice ourselves. Almost all our proteins are nitrate/nitrite free, all-natural and free from antibiotics. Pizza dough gets tossed and stretched moments before it reaches your table. Breads and desserts arrive fresh every morning from our equally food-crazed sister, Flour Head Bakery. Meat lovers, vegans, vegetarians, and gluten-free eaters all have a place at our table. Two locations in Knoxville on Market Square downtown and Kingston Pike in West Knoxville. Come hungry.

Knoxville’s Own Since 1990

We showed up in 1990 with big ideas and big plates. We called ourselves the Flying Tomato, open for lunch five days a week, feeding friends and neighbors on plastic forks in a Downtown Knoxville that was still figuring itself out. A lot has changed since then. The plates got better. The city found its vibe. And The Tomato Head became part of the fabric of it all. Two locations now, Market Square downtown and Kingston Pike in West Knoxville, but the same commitment to fresh, flavorful, wholesome food made in-house every single day. We learned along the way that taking care of our neighbors is good for business. But honestly it’s just better for the soul.
